Services offered by the Honorary Consul
The Honorary Consul provides a selected range of consular services and does not replace the Consulate General. Many matters are accepted here and forwarded to the Consulate General in Los Angeles.
The Honorary Consul offers a defined set of services on behalf of the Consulate General and cannot handle every consular matter. Visas and immigration (USCIS) matters are not handled here. See the official German government resources below. All office visits are by appointment only.
Passport Services
The Honorary Consul accepts German passport and identity card applications and forwards them to the Consulate General for processing.

Family Matters & Name Declarations
Certain family matters, including name declarations related to marriage, birth or divorce, can be prepared and forwarded through the Honorary Consul.

Document Certifications & Notarizations
The Honorary Consul can certify copies of documents and certify signatures (Beglaubigungen) within the scope permitted for an Honorary Consul.

Life Certificates
Life certificates (Lebensbescheinigungen) for German pension and insurance purposes can be certified by the Honorary Consul.

Certificate of Citizenship
Where supported, the Honorary Consul can assist with elements of a Certificate of Citizenship process; full determinations are handled by the Consulate General.
